Andy is cute.
Welp, it didn't snow that much over night in KC. Looks like there is less than an inch on the ground. Supposedly there is a chance of some more during the day to day. We're going to have to teach Anderson how to cross his fingers. The lack of deep snow didn't keep Andy from having fun this morning, although it did kind of depress his mom and dad.
One other thing, Andy's stocking is officially "hung by the chimney with care." Thanks to his grandmom for making it!

We have a blog....who knew?
Andy had his first haircut today! As you can see from the pictures, he really enjoyed it. Check out more pictures on Flickr.

Fall fun
Saturday we went to the Louisburg Cider Fest. While it was warm enough to be summer, we pretended it was fall. Here are a couple pictures. Check out Flickr for more.

Future postman?
Here's Andy and his mail box from his Mimi. He LOVES to play with it and all the toys inside. We can set him down on the floor, put his mail toys around him, and he's as happy as a clam for 30 minutes.
Labor Day weekend
On Sunday afternoon we went over to Lawrence to visit Lesa, Anna, Tara, and Will. We wandered around downtown for a while, ate some dinner, then just hung out at Lesa's house. It was lots of fun. Here are a few pictures of Andy and Anna. Check out Flickr for more pictures! (more blogging to come...)

our weekend
It’s Sunday afternoon, and according to the tv screen on the seat in front of me, I’m at 40,720 ft, traveling at 535 mph, somewhere north of Topeka. I’m in route back to St. Louis for my second week of training. It was a nice weekend in Colorado, although short. But I’m really happy I was able to go and see Lindsay and Andy. It would have been too long to be away from them. Thankfully, when I go to Dallas in August, they are going to come along.
We had a nice weekend. Saturday we went down to the farmers’ market in Old Colorado City. That was fun. We bought some Hawaiian wafers, which are really good. Then Lindsay, Andy and I drove around Manitou Springs for a while, looking at all the cool, old houses. Anderson actually entertained himself almost the whole time. The mirror we use to see him from up front was tilted down too low so he could see himself. He just talked to himself, waiving his arms around, for a good twenty minutes. But when he decided he was done, he let us know. He didn’t cry, he just yelled at us.
Lindsay and I went out to dinner, which was really nice if we disregard the food, which was not good. But, it was good to spend some time alone. Then back to Lindsay’s parents to play a game.
I’ll fly back to Denver on Friday to meet Lindsay and Andy. We’ll head to Kansas where we’re stop to catch our breath really quick, then off to Versailles, MO for a while (by Lake of the Ozarks) before heading up to Nebraska for my sister’s weadding.
That’s it for now. Sorry there are no pictures with this post; I didn’t get a chance to download any while I was in Colorado.

Our week of vacation
Well, I’m at 28,000 feet, somewhere above western Kansas, I think. I finished my magazine, so thought I would write a blog entry. I’ve been meaning to do this for the past week. I’ve (Brett) been in St. Louis at some training for work, and Lindsay and Andy are in Woodland Park, CO at her parents’ house. I’m on my way to Colorado to spend the weekend with them, then back to St. Louis for another week. I thought I’d give a recap of our vacation the week of the 4th of July. Here goes…
We spent our first couple of days just relaxing around the house, going to a few places. On the fourth, Mimi (Lindsay’s mom), Papa (Lindsay’s dad), Lindsay, Andy, Jackson, and I went to the Colorado Springs Zoo. It was lots of fun, although Andy slept through a good two-thirds of it. Oh well, I’m not sure he would have gotten much out of it anyways. Except that he does love to stare at the trees. He’s my little outdoorsman. Here are a few pictures.
On Thursday, we went down and spent some time in Manitou Springs. We went to some shops…I got some new sunglasses. Andy spent part of the day napping with his hat over his eyes.
That evening we went to the Symphony in the Clouds. The Colorado Springs Symphony performed at the middle school football field in Woodland Park. The show concluded with a fireworks show. Andy was mesmerized by the fireworks. We took a picnic and had a lot of fun. Also, please notice his outfit…does anybody else see a future Wildcat?
Friday morning we went to the Woodland Park farmer’s market.
That evening we went down to Colorado Springs to celebrate Lindsay’s birthday which was on the 8th. Andy tried on a new hat.while we were in Babies R Us.
We ate dinner at Olive Garden to celebrate Lindsay’s birthday. The wait staff was kind enough to sing to her. We’re still not sure why they made her wear a hair net while they sang.
Saturday we met my (Brett's) Colorado relatives up at a relatives cabin in the mountains. We were there about an hour before it started raining and hailing. So, we didn't get to spend nearly as much time with them as we had hoped. Hopefully, we'll get to see a lot of them at my sister's wedding in just a few weeks.

4 months old
Andy is 4 months old today. It's hard to believe. Here's a picture of him with his cousin Jackson this morning.
Andy's first interstate trip...
After typing the title, I realized that Andy has been to Missouri before. So this is really his second trip out of Kansas. Wait...now that I think about it, he went to Lindsey's graduation in Nebraska. Which also included driving through a little bit of Iowa. MAN!! He's really seeing the country at the ripe old age of 4 months. Anyway, here is a picture of us crossing into Colorado.
I also wanted to post these pictures of Cheyenne Bottoms from when we drove past there Friday evening. For those of you who don't know, there is now an ocean near Great Bend. Check it out.
new pictures
I've uploaded more pictures to flickr. Follow the link over on the right to check them out. Once you click on a picture and flickr opens up, you can follow the link on the right that says "Brett and Lindsay's photostream" to get to the rest of the pictures. They are divided in to sets, which will be on the right side of the screen. Or if you click on the "flickr" link at the beginning of this post, it will take you there also.

Andy's Dr. appointment
Andy had his 4 month check-up yesterday. He's doing great. He was 25.5" long (50th percentile) and weighs 16 lbs 12.5 ounces (75th percentile). The doctor said he's a very healthy, strong boy! And he doesn't have to go back for 4 more months, which is exciting. For those of you that don't know, he's thinking about rolling over. He just doesn't really have the motivation to. I think he's just too laid back. He doesn't even try to turn from his tummy over to his back. When he's on his back, he'll through his legs over so he rocks up onto his side, but he's not sure what to do after that. And, he thinks it's fun to just rock back and forth from his back to his side, so I'm not sure he cares about going the rest of the way yet. He'll lay there and flop back and forth for 10 or 20 minutes. It's funny because he rotates a little each time he does it....slowly turning all the way around. I think he's training to be a break-dancer.
We leave for our Colorado vacation after I get off work today. We're driving to Great Bend tonight, then to Manitou Springs in the morning. It'll be fun.
That's it for now.

one day short
Ok - so this is one day short of being a month since my last post. Sorry about that. I promise to be more diligent at updating the blog and our pictures. I migrated our yahoo photos over to flickr. Follow the link over on the right to get there. I'm still learning how to use flickr, so not everything may be shared yet. We're on vacation next week, so I'll work on that and starting regular updates to the blog again.
For anybody that still checks this blog, hit me with a comment so I know you're still out there.

fun for babies
When we were over at Monte & Nicol's, Andy got to enjoy some of Gavin's toys. One thing he liked was their swing - although we can't be sure how much he really liked the swing versus how much it was just his usual nap time. He also had lots of fun on Gavin's play mat/gym thing. We have one, but it isn't this cool. I think we might have to get Andy one. Doesn't it look fun? Believe me, it is - I lay in there and played for a good 45 minutes. (is it lay, or layed, or lied, or lie....all I know, is that lie-lay is two words, Cory)

A post! A post!
Just a quick post - trying to get back on track. We visited Tara and her boyfriend Will on Saturday - ate dinner at El Mezcal in Ottawa. It was fun. This afternoon we went over to our friends' Monte and Nicol's house and had a little barbecue. It was fun. Their son Gavin is a month younger than Andy. It's amazing how different they are, and at the same time, how many of the same things they do. Anyway, we have pictures we'll get posted. And I'll work on writing some updates on what's been going on with us over the last month. There are some new pictures out there - hope you like them!
Ok, I'm back
Alright, peeps. We're getting back on the blog train. I've uploaded some new pictures and will add some postings later. Enjoy.

some pictures
Ok - I've uploaded some pictures now. I'll try and get a post written tomorrow...no guarantees though. Oh, and apparently Yahoo Photos is closing - so we'll keep everyone posted on where the pictures will be "migrating" to.
sorry
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted to the blog or uploaded new pictures. I'm going to try to write a post tonight and get pictures uploaded. Not that anyone is even checking this anymore...

is that really another post??
Yes, I know it's hard to believe, but here is another post! I stayed home from work today to try and get over my stye. And so I didn't scare my coworkers too much. Here is Andy checking out his scary dad.
Today, Andy is wearing one of the cute outfits that Kelli & Stacy Peters got him.

Here is a classic shot of Andy in his crib with his mobile. While he occasionally watches the mobile, he usually find the red checkered pattern on the bumper to be more entertaining.

And lastly, here is just a cute picture of him sleeping after church yesterday.
