Andy's Christmas outfit

Andy wore his Christmas outfit to church this morning for the Christmas service. He was very cute...though getting him to stand still for a picture was not easy.

Some more videos...

Try not to explode from all the cuteness...

He just gets cuter by the day...

Andy and Mama did a fun craft project. Look closely, my favorite is the gingerbread man on the "cow plow."

Andy is feeling a little down with a cold...poor guy.

A few videos - enjoy.

Goings on

Here are a few more pictures. We're getting closer to being ready for Christmas. I think we have all of Andy's Christmas presents purchased - we tried to not go overboard. And we're gettin closer on gifts for all the others on our list. We went out shopping both Friday and Saturday. Andy was a trooper as we went from store to store. In fact, when we'd get in the car and ask where he wanted to go, he was actually saying "store" instead of "home." Not sure if that is a good thing or not...

Lindsay and Andy in front of the Christmas tree (in case you couldn't tell)
Lindsay went to the eye doctor on Friday, and Anderson was lucky enough to get some sunglasses to match mama's.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. Lindsay's parents and sister and our nephew came out to our house from Colorado for a few days. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Lindsay's mom was taking so many pictures, we forgot to take very many with our camera. Here are a few. Enjoy.

Aunt Leslie, cousin Jackson, and Andy taking a Thanksgiving day walk. Aunt Leslie and Andy reading a book.

FYI

Brett does almost all the posting on here. Sometimes, it says Lindsay made a post, but that's just because I'm too lazy to sign out of her account and into mine. Sor-sor.

Raking Leaves

Andy and I raked leaves on Sunday. We filled 10 bags...but only got about 2/3 of the yard done! Here are some pictures of Andy helping.

Bam!

Andy and I were playing yesterday, and we invented a new game. It is really fun to hit the pegs through the board in one hit and say "Bam." Listen carefully, and you'll hear Andy saying "Bam."

Halloween pictures

Here's our little "Deet Deet." Or, for those of you that aren't around Andy very much, Deet Deet is Mickey in Andy-speak.

Here we are carving pumpkins.

FYI - our Flickr Pro account has expired, so some of our pictures might not be viewable until we get it renewed. We are accepting donations to cover the annual charge...just kidding.

Fun at dinner

We're sitting around eating quesadillas for dinner (Andy had a nice helping of grapes, too). We're dipping our quesedillas in sour cream and all of a sudden Andy says Uh - uh (his version of uh-oh), and then he says dip, dip. (those of you that have eaten with him in the last 6 months, know that he LOVES his dipping) Well, apparently he doesn't like when he gets sour cream on his fingers. We're having to to clean the sour cream (aka dip) off his fingers between about every other bite. Gotta run, we have another "uh - uh, dip dip dip" situation on our hands, well on his hand. And he is just holding his hand up in the air waiting for me to clean it off.

GENIUS!

Ok, this morning we were hanging out in the living room, and Anderson picked up the most recent Reader's Digest off the ottoman. He was trying to open the magazine, but it was still in the little plastic wrapper it comes in. Well, I told him he couldn't open it because it was in a bag. (Here comes the genius part...get ready...) Andy then told me "siz, siz" and he headed for the dining room. Welp, he was saying scissors and taking me to his drawers where his scissors are so we could open the bag!! Ok, you may all freak out now.

Funny

Here's a funny email I got from Lindsay yesterday...

Sometimes I leave the kitchen for a minute while Andy is eating breakfast…and when I come back in…he is stirring his cereal milk with a remote control and looks at me and says, “Soup!”

Pictures of Andy's haircut

Check it....

a lesson in haircuts

Andy and I got our hair cut a few days ago at Beauty Brands on the Plaza. Or, I should say, I got my hair cut and Andy halfway got his hair cut. The lady wasn't the best with cutting a toddler's hair. She took her time...and you can't do that. You just have to get in there and cut cut cut real fast. So he went to Shear Madness today for another haircut. It's the special place for kids - they sit in little cars and have TVs with DVDs at each chair. So we let Andy take his Mickey DVD with him and he did really well. We'll get a picture of his new haircut when he gets up from his nap.

Speaking of Mickey, here is Andy, doing what he wishes his mom and dad would let him do all day long...but we don't.

And here is Andy and I in a tee pee at the Prairie Museum of History and Art in Colby, KS. It doesn't get much more exciting than this...they have the BIGGEST BARN IN KANSAS!!

So what's wrong with only blogging once a month?

Our lives aren't that exciting. So, I figure once a month is enough of an update...no?? You want more?? Then leave comments, for pete's sake! (Ok, I know some of you do (Mimi), but some of you don't. And I don't like that.) Ok, more to come. But, first, I feel a need to redo the layout of my blog (Lindsay has informed me that this blog is MY responsibility. She has her own blog to not keep up to date. I will add a link to it shortly.). This entry has been a terrible example of how to use parenthetical statements (that's right, I said "parenthetical"). I've posted about a gazillion (technical banking term to quantify the turmoil in the credit markets) pictures to Flickr...so check those out. That should keep you all busy long enough for me to do some work here. And remember, you make-a no comments, I break-a yo face. (don't quote me on that, quote Mrs. Keller...her daughter was Miss Kansas and she left cash in their front yard).

Family Pictures

Check out our Family Pictures on Flickr! These are the raw files, so they still need cropped. Thanks to Julie and Bruce for the gift certificate to Portrait Innvoations!!! (um, they gave it to us when Andy was born. it only took us 15 months to use it.)

Taking off

vroom vroom

Listen closely and you'll hear the growling sound Anderson makes when driving his cars around.

Happy Easter!

Andy had a very happy Easter. Here he is checking out the great gifts the Easter Bunny left him. We put some eggs around the living room, and he had lots of fun picking them up and opening them. Too bad there wasn't anything in them. As always, check out Flickr for more pictures.

Little box climber.

Anderson became quite the dare devil yesterday, climbing on to some boxes. Luckily, they are full of boxes, so there are sturdy. Check out Flickr for some other new photos.
